I took a break from Instagram for the month of February 2026. I used the open source tool "Memento Mori" to create this archive website of my profile and stories on Instagram.

Taking a break from the firehose of content and doom scrolling has been great for my mood and mental health, so I'm taking the next step and as of March 5th, I've archived all posts and set my profile to private. Eventually I may leave entirely, unfortunately for the time being I still find I need to log into the platform to check certain things as many people only update Instagram.

For now, I'm going to continue prioritizing methods of keeping in touch with friends which won't spy on me or my friends and then sell our stolen attention to advertisers.
